Whats a good tank size for Clown Knife fishes? Whats is their chemistry?

they can get 2foot+
a 180 should be fine for some time

precise chemistry is nonessential. just dechlorinate your tapwater and they'll be fine in that.
180g will last for some years, but eventually a tank that is 3 feet wide by 8-10 feet long would be ideal. Or a pond.

Mine are currently being prepped to move into a 120.. not idea but at least enough room for them to grow and move around. After that its to the 180. But that will be next year when I buy a house.

A 180 gal is usually ok for one knife, as long as you don't have too many other big fish in there to screw up your water. They do eventually reach about 36", but they can manuever and turn on a dime, so tank depth is not a huge concern. I have a pair of clown's, and a gold (albino) I am debating on getting a royal.

IME clown knives take a while to grow, so if you got a small one, you could probably get away with a 75 until they get to be 12" or so.
