Over the last month I noticed that my 2 foot L. pictus started to regurgitate food. At first it was the Massivore pellets so I thought that was the case. I did a water change, Put in an additional submersible filter and water quality is as follows. Almost no ammonia, .25 nitrate, 6.5 ph between 82-87 degrees-its summer in Miami. He always seems to do this when i show up in the morning to say hello or feed them. I was feeding daily but then reduced to every other day. how often do you guys feed your bigger cats. Smaller TSN 14" and Lima 8-9" pleco oscar and Tinfiol barbs all seem cool. He even started throwing up market shrimp. It has happened 4-5 times that I noticed. any help is appreciated.
looking at your avatar it seems like as though you have some bigger gravel than I would consider appropiate for a catfish that often eat those. If he has a large stomache I would say that he has eaten some gravel and is trying to get those out.. but I dunno why he would throw the food back out if he hasnt eaten any gravel... my english sux i know but hopefully you would understand what i mean.. :D

Wow Tuda I took the gravel out a week ago and have noticed that the Catfish always seems to have a bit of a belly. Ill make sure to get the little that is left out. Is there any way to help him get the rocks up if he has eaten some?

the quick and messy route would be to stuff it full of food and let him puke it up... otherwise just wait and it'll work it out on it's own
