I am working on setting up my new 320 gal tank.
There is a list of fish that I was thinking of populating the tank with and I was hoping to get some feedback from members who could tell me if this would be overstocked...
Tank Dimensions: lxwxh - 130"x24"x24"
Filtration - thinking about two FX5's (or three "lesser" canister filters)
Fish List:
5 tin foil barbs
3 tiger barbs
3 silver dollars
3 clown loaches
2 common plecos
3 bala sharks
3 iridescent sharks
All of these will be babies except for the 5 tin foil barbs and one pleco that is in my 150 gal...
Will this tank be overstocked?
Is there room for more varieties?
Suggestions of more interesting fish to swap out the other selections?
Thanks in advance!

I'm not sure why you're stocking all kinds of schooling fish in 3s. Especially the tiger barbs, they only get a few inches long so why only have 3? Clown loaches are better off in groups of 5 or more, otherwise they can't really establish much of a hierarchy.
I would leave the irridescent sharks off since they can outgrow the tank. Get more balas and silver dollars instead.

agreed. If you are going to go with school fish... get a school of them. You have plenty of tank space, no reason not to. Build the clown loach pack!!!
oh and irridescent sharks are best suited for a pond IMO

where are the monsters?
tin foils, plecos, balas, ID sharks and loaches
the only thing NOT monster is the tigers
15-20 tinfoil barbs/25 tiger barbs
20 Puntius arulius/P. filamentosus
6 silver dollars (none if tiger loaches are the option)
20 clown loaches/tiger loaches
15 Yasuhikotakia modesta
15 Y. morleti
Of course, you can't mix the clowns with the last three loaches which are extremely aggressive but it makes a nice river tank, doesn't it?:D Your monsters are the clown loaches or the tiger loaches along with the tinfoils and Y. modesta.

It wasn't an order but a suggestion.:) A biased suggestion nevertheless.

15-20 tinfoil barbs/25 tiger barbs
I like the way you think.. :headbang2
To the original poster you have plenty of room in that tank for more than your thinking of putting in there. I have a feeling from that list you haven't explored all the different fish there are that you could put in there.. Leave the ID sharks out though I agree.
