but the fishing was a little better ... Caught tons of Mayans, every 4 fish was a mayan then something different... Here is a small sampling. I really dont know my cichlids that well so any ID's would be great ... Yes I know one is a bass. These we were all caught on pieces of nightcrawlers and small hooks. The DITCH I caught them on was no wider than 6 - 7 feet across and about 3 feet in the middle.... I have one more I need to get ID but i kept himand a small mayan and dont want to stress them out. So I will wait until I can get a better picture and hes a little more aclimated. Can a small mayan go with a small oscar and 2 small pacus?

I kept a small mayan and one that I now now is a salvini. I have a couple ponds on my patio and I put them in one. There is a place where you cant get to the fish but its a ditch near shennandoah in davie. By the park. I cant remember the road but its Indian Trace on the other side of Weston rd. There is about 2 - 3 feet of water and all kinds of bass, turtles, carp oscars and the biggest and most colorful mayans I have ever seen. These mayans color is like a battery is connected to it. That was my first trip. I dont get much of an opportunity because I have a 10 month old and only get every other saturday off and sundays. So I like to spend it with him.
