I woke up this morning to find my CK with a red fin :nilly:
I did a water change, added salt... anything else?

Is it blood? Maybe he just got injured.
 
could be tank mate, could be sharp rocks in tank like lava rock?
eIther way it looks like trauma and not disease.
I'd say stick with the salt and small frequent water changes, and you'll be ok.
 
so far you did everything right... i would just keep a close eye on him ..make sure he is eating regular, swimming and acting regular and that the wound area does not get worse.. or bacterial infection sets in.. he definitly is a beauty.. and hope he is in full recovery mode for you..
 
My RT Gourami Smashed his mouth open REALLY BAD, I used salt, did frequent water changes for a week and after 2 weeks he was fine.(a little deformed,but fine)!
So don't sweat it. Like RED DEVIL said, just keep a close eye on it.
 
Melafix works well for injuries like this. And, it smells good.
