Yeah these are some nice cats. Carefull though, they can eat fish that you woudnt think they get down. Heres an albino tinfoil barb.

I used to have the type which they called "Yellow Flash Zebra". There r more contrast btwn the base colour n strips. Very nice. But too bad i can't take good care of it. Nowadays so difficult to find 1 in SG.

Hi all, I have got 1 6" jurense 3 days ago. Can anyone advise what is the best tank setup for this cat

as far as tank setup you are going to need something large, at least a 180, and it can outgrow that. They also like a good amount of current. Water should with a neutral to slightly acidic, and soft. Keep your water in top condition. Mine likes to sit on a piece of driftwood or slate. I feed cut shrimp, silversides, and frozen krill.

Hi, thank for the info:) Btw, do you add gravel to your tank set up and what is the growing rates? It has been quit a few mths seen you started this thread, what is the size of your juruense now?

At first I had him in a bare bottom tank, and now he is in a tank with fine sand. I got it when it was about 4" and it is now about 7", so growth is pretty fast, but not like a tigershovelnose or redtail cat.

Mine is now in a bare quarantine tank. Issit normal for this cat to stay still most of the time, it seem quit ok as it eat quit well (2-3 small fishes a day)
