hey bro i got 4 of them and their schooling around the tank looking for food lol but im gunna get a few other mixed species of cichlas...iono which kind though...your guys got anything else you guys might recommend? Everything i have except my wallago attu and red tailed catfish will have to go at some point later on...

Dang bro those look awesome! i like how green the orino is in the 2nd pic. :headbang2 and that tem is looking nice...im thinking of getting some and some other mix of pbass...boy i can't wait till my 2"ers get bigger...i'll post pics later today when they get the feel of the new tank without their parents...

since i can't take pics of them due to them moving around the tank too much i'll just get a video of the them but its just a bare tank with sand nothing else is it it so it would harm them when they get scared...

Here's an update on how my 2 orinos are doing...one thing is what one is growing faster and bigger and fatter than the other one...the other one is still small, not as fat, and just half the size of my bigger one...and i got them at the same time and hatched at the same day....well here it is you can see the big one is spoiled lol...first pic is the bigger orino and the last one is both of the orinos together waiting for food...biggest is only 2.5" and smallest is 1.5-2"...and i already got them off live food... but i will still give out quarentined feeders every now and then...

cool! one question...i have 2 orinos right now and were from the same batch of babies i got from dookie on this forum and well one has been growing more faster and fatter than the other one.....the other one is smaller and looks the same as when i bought them a month ago at 1"...Is this dominance? also they are now conflicting with flaring and some body/tail wagging like you see in most cichlids to show aggression...is it normal to see siblings having a conflict?

man this stinks...the smaller of the orinos that never really showed much growth since i bought them a month in a half ago...so i got 4 then lost 2 from sensitivity and now i think im losing another one which is the smallest and weakest of the much bigger and dominant one...smallest is 1.5-2" only and the biggest one is about 2.5-3" and so is more fatter and aggressive. Well today was i saw is that the bigger one started ramming the lil guy and started biting its sides while the smaller one did nothing but stay their and looked like it was floating...but the weird part is while it was constantly being attack when ever i get their attention by putting my fingers above the water they stop and want food even the small one...you guys think the lil one is nearing death? I now can see a blood spot on the side of the eye which is leaking blood or some reddish liquid...=[ what do you guys think? is he done for or he has a chance to live? he just keeps floating aorund now and can't swim up straight

and he is looking totally fine, plus i just tested if he would eat and he ate
good news but im freaking out now

nope not having so much luck...i want to get a group of more peacock basses and not just have one orino...it would look weird in a near 1,000 gallon tank being the only pbass...should i get some WC Tems? Their are some WC tems at 3" for $20 each...maybe some occels and mono...but not too much just a group of 6-8 peacock bass...say my 1 orino ( hopefully the smaller ones kicks in and holds on abit longer) 3 WC tems, and maybe some ocels and mono's...

just to update on how the lil orino is doing...he's still hanging in their taking the beating and flaring back with a stiff posture...=/ and it all dark in green and black fins like what you would see in fin rot. Hope he makes it...its still eating like it is and is swimming around the same...like swimming upside down and sideways and just floating...but still eating...:eek: pretty odd...and it got some fin ripped but i add stress coat and stress zyme and added salt and left the temp the same...as it was already 88-90 degrees now...

Hey it all depends on who and where your buying them from...everyone has their own prices. But on average...i would say $45-80 ea. at 1-2" they go for 10-20" each and the bigger they get the most they go for.
