bottles of pure ammonia. add a cupful of ammonia to the tank every day with the filters running for 18 days. Then add the fish. Make sure the ammonia is pure - unpure ammonia will form lots of soap bubbles when shaken, pure ammonia won't, cuz its just like water.

oh. cycling with your existing fish may hurt or even kill them, depending on what you add and how big each is. how many fish do you have and how big is each of them?

regardless using pure ammonia would be easier.

Hmm.. some cheapo fish or feeders will do. ensure got few days to cycle so that your actual fish wouldnt get shock..

I wood take a step back and follow Piranha advice and go more slowly and take the time to get the tank ready, Posesed same question, got good advice, did it my way, and killed 32 fish. All life forms carry disease, its stress that brings it out.
