How long will it take for my id shark to outgrow my 29g?

i just got an id shark to grow out in my 29 to eventually put in my 120. what is the average growth rate for one of these guys?

Lets see... it's 4 oclockish... I'd say by around 10 tonight

No Seriously it depends on what size it is now, what your feeding it, water quality...some grow like weeds and others never seem to get started

I think mine never got started.... lol.

Yeah how big is he right now? Most I see right now are 2"

i would just warn keeping them in the 29 for too long. Only because of the 3' length. My sister bought one (thought it was adorable) and the thing would get scared and slam into the glass and a couple of times i thought she was gonna lose it because it developed a bloody snout. I quickly moved him to my 75.

Mine was a slow grower and I was able to keep him in my 29 for 2 years but he was quite unhappy those last months while I was trying to get a bigger tank. He's now in my 75 and much happier and growing like a weed.
