I have heard that its possible to keep ATF with other fish species but i have not seen many pics... so show them if you got them :)

i have a 7" Vittatus, all alone, and would like to keep it with some other fish in the near future.

:eek: bro any picture of it to compare a fatf & a tatf. What I got last time is consider a skinny version so my guess is one of the above...what about bervis ? these 3 what the diff??

Well to my understanding... my side here import most of the atf under goliath name so that why the price is much higher for vatf now... use to be half price.. even if the price go up also not that high..cos oil keep going up and the air freight will also go up... to me vittatus head got a very V shape i try to get picture of mine soon....

I think the top one is FATF, the middle one is VATF, and the bottom one is BATF.

:confused: now if you say that mine could be a batf haha... any other way to surport your ID?

first one pictured at top is a vittatus, the one directly below is tanzaniae and the small skinny one you refer to as tanzaniae is actually a brevis..
brevis is the smallest species if you thought otherwise..

According to fishbase,

GATF = 133cm
VATF = 105cm
BATF = 86cm
FATF = 78cm
TATF = 25cm

TATF is the smallest. Based on such measurements I think BATF and FATF could be the same fish or hard to tell part.

I dun really trust fishbase info cos the picture they can put wrongly too... For GATF I seen some website and book max size is 1.5m

I still cant tell the differ from the last 3 name mentioned. Once I got my book back from my friend i will scan a picture from the book got big gatf and armatus together in a tank. both size atleast more than 2ft.

Goliath is the largest ATF
vittatus is the second largest ATF
forsculii/tanzinea is the third largest
and Brevis is the smallest ATF

there is only four species of african tigerfish
tanzinea and forsculii are recognized as the same fish...
