I just found a local hobbyist who has a gravid female motoro, ready to give birth in about a month (or less). I've already contacted him and I'm on his waiting list to get the pups.

These rays are livebearers. Being flat fish, though, pregnant females don't get big bellies... they get humped backs (no pun intended).
lol The guy is 18 minutes away from where I live. He's selling for $150 each, but not sure how many pups (if any survives) will be born.

I had a nice pair last year from Jon Rare. I got them for $150 also so I'd guess that's a reasonable price. :)

For 150 i would get a bigger motoro. But then again, captive bred ones are supposedly hardier than wild caught ones.

I can't help I would jump on that as fast as I could, Send a pic of the female and post what he wants for them. They usally have two maybe three pubs. IS his list that big at this point.
