Are you using flash? I believe these fish should have better colors. How I wish to have the accessibility to these like you.

their look real healthy! =] awesome! so i noticed in my 2 of my LFS...one of the stores have Temensis that are 3" for $20 but their real light but have the one long straight bar running across them and the other has them and already started showing the bars and spots...but is kinda dark...like greyish/black...and both same size and same fishes but could it be possible that each are from different rivers or parts of a river system?

probably not.. the long straight bar is just the way young temensis look. they grow out of it.

the dark or dull coloring is just stress from the LFS tanks.. they will brighten up and get nice colors once they settle in to your tank at home.
