i was wondering do u need a tight cover on an aquarium for a datnoid? are they jumpers?
I have'nt heard of any case for Datnoids jumping..... But it is good to have a good tight cover no matter what!

Dats aren't known to be jumper risks. However, considering their beauty and expensive price tags, it would be prudent to have a decent cover on the tank just in case they're spooked.

Datnoids are really calm. Not skittish at all.
Having said that, I just wouldn't risk it...

Well, risking here being against everyone, Datnoids are very accomplished jumpers. They seldom do so but they can do it. I have had several close calls with some of the big ones and Wes has told me a few stories of a few that have jumped on him as well.
Cover the tank no matter what or you could loose them.

I have tight covers on all my tanks, jumpers or not. It helps keep the water from evaporating, and also keeps in the heat from escaping.

one of my dat use to jump all night when it was in a smaller tank while in qt. so i would say they are capable so I wouldn't risk it.
