I found this tank/stand combo on craigslist, (IT IS NOT MY TANK) it looks like a 30g+ or something sitting on a 20g stand. I just think it seems like a terrible idea, what do you think?

For every thread about how someone's 2x4 stand is going to collapse, there are ten 30gallon tanks sitting on too small, warped particle board stands...or 55gs sitting on 3' wide dressers...

probably not a bad tank for $100 would just have to find a new stand and put one of my spare 20's on it.

I don't think it will topple, seeing as how the weight would be more or less balanced; it just looks like a terrible idea though.

The reason stupidity has not been punished in this case is because the front and back glass act as I beams and are actually quite strong.
