when i first got into the fish keeping hobby i had bought a jaguar catfish. two days later i added 2 figure 8 puffers, which are brakkish....so i added a little bit of salt to my tank, not knowing that you can't have plecos in a tank with salt :swear:

Really? I know plecos don't really like salt but I had a tank get Ich really bad, I added so much salt the specific gravity was 1.006, and the pleco survived just fine.

jaguar catfish.....looked like it's skin was 'chapped', flaking off everywhere. and i didn't put too much salt in, i'm not sure how much to be exact....but i know it wasn't alot.

the only thing that looks wrong w/ my pleco is that its nose or watever it is comes out. kinda looks demented.I see it w/ all my fish. maybe i shuld stop using salt altogether
