thanks guys and the lung with the ray does scare me especially since i think he made have already taken a small nip at the flower's tail. He was raised for four years with rays with the previous owner though so.... fingers crossed. Wont be as big a deal once they are in the new tank and have more room

Got my aussie friday. Can't wait till he gets big. I have mine alone in a 60 gal tank with no gravel. I'm having a problem seeing if all the pellets are eaten and the water stinks if I don't take out uneaten pellets. He really eats well. In the morning there aren't any pellets or residue left. Do Aussies get along well with other fish?

I personally will put anything in with my lung and hope for the best as long as it wont fit in his mouth

Not terribly hard, but keep in mind that these fish cost upwards of $500-1000.

I actually prefer the SAL for all intents and purposes.

BIG MISTAKE with considering AULs.

Aussie Lungs are actually THE most sociable of Lungfish and will bode well with most fish. HECK, these are the only ones out there that could live with another Lung.
