matsl hit it right on the nose. It's a palembang/dragon/Hong Kong puffer.

yes got it today hes is still very shy but one off the thoughest fhishes i got :D

He is freshwater. Minimal salt in tank. Loves to eat shrimp, crayfish, mealworms and snails. Snails are a VERY IMPORTANT part of his diet!!!!!!!! Needs these to keep his beak down. Also, they do not like light. If you have a light on you will see very little activity. I even so as far as draping a dark sheet on the side of the tank that gets the most light. Good luck to you!!! all the above sounds right, but hong kong? where did you hear that one from :) probably somewhere indonesia, not hong kong, all puffers found in hong kong waters are brackish :naughty:

I have seen them listed as this also. One site (can't remember if it's aquariumfish.net or another site....) has them listed as King Kong Puffers which I think was a typo for Hong Kong Puffers as this name is used......
Another name not mentioned for them is Humpback Puffer......
