View Full Version : Newbie-freshwater rays
Planning to put up a freshwater ray set up on a 75 gal.
Need advice on which variant to go for , water ph in my area is 7.8, will rays thrive ?
Also would like to know if there is any reliable supplier in the east coast area ?

75g is not big enough for rays. Rays being wide fish need a wider footprint. I don't think I would put a ray in any tank that was not 30" wide( just for growing them out not home for life) or wider. Just my two cents.

Motoro rays are for beginners. I'm a newbie too in rays.
My plan is start them at teacup size and upgrade to a wider tank(180) when they grow.
What is the going price for motoros, saw one in a lfs selling for $ 125(4") but would prefer to get from a hobbyist/importer.
thanks to all .
