View Full Version : my first ornate bichir

today i bought my first bichir, he's about 3-4 inch beautiful color and cool as hell. he's in a 75 gal with 1 texas cichlid and a pleco i set up the tank with sand large rocks and big driftwood. he has been in my tank for abot 4 hours now and is swimming around and exploring the tank. i had no idea just hoe cool these guys are. thanks mfkers for turning me on to them. i will post pics soon my computer is not letting me down load them right now:headbang2

Congrats!!! I don't know anyone who can't love them after they've seen them in person or owned one :)

oh amen brother the coolest fish ive ever owened my son watches him 4 hours....these guys are pretty rare in my area

my ornate hides all the time so his color is all wierd, but i love the crazy eyes

that skull looks freaky! but i guess its because you're a guy that you like those kind of things. anyway, he seems like he's happy in your tank - thats what i like about them, they are never shy even from the first minute you put them in!

oh yeah the skull is where he spends most of his time, and it looks cool as hell when he sticks his head out of the eye hole. i will post more pics soon
