Went to Sea World this week end. Wanted to see the fresh water display. Really disappointed. One big tank with p. bass, several nigar cats several sting rays. The sting rays were the best. And an E-eel. The rest looked like any one of my lfs's. Then we went to the Manate display. There was a huge tank. A whole wall. 2 manates several 6' to 8' arapimas, a bunch of nigars, several large red tails. Still dissappointd, but better. Variety was very small. My imagination went wild thinking what I would put in a tank like that. They really like nigar cats, must be for keeping the tank clean.

When I went, the Manatee display was closed so I missed out on the Monster Fish :(

I guess you gotta imagine the displays in your own home, setup like how you would set them up. Then they're cool!

which sea world? the manatee display in the orlando one had like five manatees and about 20 pacu, that was it.

Yeah the Orlando Sea World is terrible if you expected to see any freshwater fish, I went with my wife in March and didn't see much, not even in the manatee exhibit.

it is called SEA world.

not river world, or lake world.

there are no roller coasters in the sea, and I'm pretty sure I saw some in Sea World

really?

man, I gotta get back there.

Its been probably 18 years since I've been to sea world, no roller coasters when I went.

I wonder what else has changed?

I remember going in the mid-90's and it's changed a lot. There are more rides, since they need to compete with Mickey and Universal Studios. There were tons of Oreochromis sp. in the central lake, so I spent a little time watching them, which soothed my need to see FW fish while there
