I went down to check on the little guys last night. and I smelled something rotten... I check around and found that the Poly Palmas was missing from the aquarium. Eventually I found him dead n stiff in the French drain. I knew that Polys can breath air and can even walk, but how can they climb on a glass tank with the water level 8" below the rim. My poly Palmas is 6".:nilly::WHOA::cry:

my little ornate in the grow out tried to jump into the filter today.... and got stuck. He jumped into the area where the tube goes into the water and couldn't get out. luckily i was right there when I heard an odd "plop" and immediately started looking around and found him. IDK how long he woulda lived in that position... there was water trickling over him to keep him moist so maybe for a while. glad i was home though.
my main tank has a canopy that fits on really really tight around the filter. no way to escape.
