why pellets as a main diet?I would think fresh things would be better.I hardly ever feed my polys any pellets,They get massivoire one a week but most of the time they eat chopped shrimp,red worms,night crawlers,scallops,mussels,chopped white fish,frogs,and crickets.I mix all those ingredients together and freeze in ice cube trays:}

picture of 12+ inch sen please. thats is monster. When there was a thread asking about 12 inch sens, no one posted a picture (as far as I remember)

but I agree with MsMP... real food is my staple (live black worms, shrimp, or blood worms), pellets are my "im too lazy to get food out of the fridge" food.

I'd think 10 or 12". For now you could use sinking carnivore until then, pretty much same ingredients just smaller.

I agree with squirt, feeding whole massivore should wait till they're hit the 10" mark at least, 12" being better.

Honestly, massivore is just so freaking expensive, I don't think it's worth it unless you buy it in bulk. Hopefully they make the price of it more reasonable soon.

I feed cichlid gold sinking to my polys, and my delhezi is thick, and yet not obese. My fish keep good healthy form and great appetites on cichlid gold, and it's the perfect size for the group of ropefish too :)

Your ornates too big for hikari lionhead, I would only feed that stuff to baby bichirs. Bump him up to at least sinking cichlid gold.

Well if you can't find it at any of your LFS's, then ordering online is your go to source.

JohnPTC has some from time to time afaik.

I just toss some in, and the bichirs seem to have learned that they need to let it sit for a while. Some will get impatient and attack the pellets right away, and they seem to do okay with it after a certain size.

I have a clip on youtube of some 10-12" bichirs I had grubbing on sinking cichlid gold, look for 'cohazards polypterus' you'll find it.

Huh my petsmart just started carrying the sinking gold about a week or two ago. You should check back in.
