Nice fattening up of the skinny guy! Don't overfeed him though.

i let him go after what he can in about 2-3mins, once a day...removing the excess

i hope thats not too much

of course, planned on slowing down once he gets a little bigger

Geez - I remember when my fahaka, Beaker, was that big. I used to have to find the smallest piece of krill I could in the block and even then break it into pieces for him to eat. Now, he's the worst begger on the planet (worse than any dog or cat I've ever had) and can pack it in like no other. Yesterday, for example, he put down four red claw crabs and was still looking for more.

I guess that story only makes sense if you know that I've only had him for 7 months. Needless to say he's growing very quickly all alone in his 135G. :headbang2

Enjoy yours! They're way too much fun. :)

always nice to see more puffers :)The most recent (as in from early July), are on pages 7 and 10 of the puffer picture thread at the top of this forum if you're interested. He's grown up a bit since then though, but at least you get to see the "little guy".

As a fun side note, I picked up a 165G (72 x 20.5 x 26 - strange size, I know) today that's going to be Beaker's new home in a few months. That way I can use his current 135G as the sump for the 300G+ that I have in the works. And then get to the 75G reef that my girlfriend has been dying to get once I move in with her. Side projects are nice... :grinno:
