What prices would I set my Frontosa at if I were to breed them??
Do they grow only to 14 inches?
I am Kigomas so what if I set these prices, let me know what you think:
(too high?? too low??)
1”=$30
2”=$40
3”-4”=$50-60
5”-6”=$70-80
7”-8”=$90-100
9”-10”=$120-140
11”-12”=$140-160
13-14”=$180-200
15”-16”=$220-240

I would say prices are a little steep since Mobas are the top of the line Fronts and a 1" usually sells for $25 on average. Although I have seen 1" Mobas sell for as much as $84ea before.
The question is who are you trying to sell them too? The members of fish clubs likely can find them cheaper. But the average fish keeper would be willing to buy them for around that price. (Though they might not even know a Kigoma from a Moba.) (Of course I would suggest you don't set the price till you have the fish...)

It depends on the locality of where you are selling it. It is a bit high for my area, but thats because there is a lot of competition here, theres lfs, chain fs and breeders. When lfs compete, you win. The sight of seeing your frontosas breed succesfully is priceless though. Good luck breeding them!

I breed them and seldom see them above $25. I don't know where you get your info. Breeders sell cheaper than lfs. Look at it this way, if you are selling Kigomas at 1" for $30 and i'm selling Mobas at 1" for $25 who is going to sell more fronts? I mean just something to think about. Who knows maybe I sell mine too cheap.
You also have to take into consideration the lineage. My breeders are wild. What are yours? If you aren't selling F1 fry they definately aren't worth that much.

Thanks! I'll update you later - I may have more questions by then. :)

Wow for the 1"=$30!!!
Jk but thats pretty steep
they should atleast be around $10-$8 that size
likely of them being fairly common..
But if F1 then $12-$14 if not common in your area...
But prices usually stay under that if around 1"
and if bigger then the price goes up so just knock your set prices by $10-$20 off...
