View Full Version : Are Fronts going to get a Sub-Forum?
A lot of Front talk lately, looks like they could almost be a Sub-Forum. This would be one for the mods.... and Mike and Liz of course.

It would be a good idea, whether it happens or not who knows, as they could do the same for a lot of other fish, but fronts are very popular. And liz of course would be an excellent mod for the section.

I'm going to take the opposing side to this. Although I would mind seeing Fronts have their own section...where do you draw the line?....Besides, I can't keep up with all the different sub-sections.

If it happens, it'll be in the future. I think that we've done enough adding, deleting, and rearranging recently. It's not out of the question, but it is down the road.

I think the reason so many front keepers want a sub forum is they are used to posting and creating front info in frontosa only sites/areas. They often keep only or mostly fronts (like me LOL) and so while they might have knowledge or info for other species the uniqueness both in personality and in tank setup and tankmates (or lack of) make it easier to post in our own section where others wanting general cichlid info wont read what we do with african cichlids in general and think they can do it with frontosa since there needs are so different. I really think with the loss of cyphos.com there is a huge oppourtunity that someone is gonna fill, why not us ?
Michael.... Just noticed the red title, congrats.
We are currently re-arranging many things, but at the moment there wont be a sub-forum for fronts, I also don't think there is enough traffic for it at the moment. Please keep in mind many of those front threads were moved from the general cichlid forum into here also. It may be something in the future, but not right now. We are already in the process of adding/deleteing and re-arranging the entire cichlid forum so there will be some changes in the near future.

sorry, but as much as I love my Fronts I can not agree with just a front sub section. Far too many fish that are not even in a section to be fair. I would however like to remind everyone that Fronts have their own picture thread and information thread. I think that is pretty good. I know the other site is gone, but we welcome any of them to join us and share...

The photo thread is good enough, I can agree with that. The other site will be up again soon from what I am told, so MFK may see a decline in frontosa-related stuff soon anyway, which would be bad, but what can you do. They come, and they go, then they come again.....vicious cycle :)

While Frontosa are an MFK favorite among Africans, I also agree with this.
