I have 10 Red Ear Slider(R.E.S.) tutles that I will one day build a large pond with several small ponds just for them. I only am experienced with whisper power filters for indoor use. Can you use a fluval on an outside pond? With turtles? How many of these fluvals would I need? Can I use the fluvals in the fish section rather than the wimpy fluvals in the reptile section of a pet store?
Can I just buy a fluval per turtle?
Thanks in advance, Sorry if this is in the wrong section but I figured, its a pond question. As I would like for feeder goldfish to survive long enough to be found , chased and eaten..

an outside pond for 10 res is gonna be prety big. use a koi pond filter it would be a waste of money to buy so many small filters when u need just one big pump and a good place for bacteria to grow. outside plants are gonna provide alot of your filtration. hope this helps or pm me with you specifics

You will need to decide the size of the pond first, pond pumps and homemade filters are the way to go. You get a lot more flow and more biofiltration for a lot less money.
