is halogen lights suitable for reef tanks. are they as powerful an metal halide lights.

never heard of using halogen and i dont think they are in the right spectrum of light reef tanks are normally 10000k and up

Yeah, I've never heard of anyone using halogen lights either... I know halides are expensive, but they're worth it! I have a Coralife fixture with a 20000K double-ended halide, 4x96 watts 03 Actinic PC, and two 1 watt blue LEDs. Never been happier!
