I have several times been told to use trumpet snails as cleaners, but I haven't seen them. Anyone have comments, suggestions, or picks?

There are tons available on aquabid. These Malaysian trumpet snails spend daylight hours sifting through the substrate eating anything missed by your fish and aerating the gravel/sand. They'll venture out after dark and make short work of anything collecting on the glass.

BTW, MTS are livebearing. So, no unsightly jelly masses all over your tank. They're also hard-shelled and can stand up to living in most loach, puffer, and predator tanks. My clowns eat them quite often but, with some flat rocks for the snails to tunnel under, the whole colony won't be wiped out in a loach tank.

On my way to the Malaysian trumpet store. How many days walk to Malaysia?

It took my ship over 2 weeks to get there. So, if you're gonna hike it, bring along a loooooonnggg snorkel and pack a lunch.
