They like it warmer than usual...84F would be good.

How big are they? i've kept mine at 85 to 87...intill they were 6'' then i droped the temp to 78 to 82.

my tank sits at 28 degress celcius or 82 farenheit..

i raise mine to 84 - 86 if im treating ich.. it really depends on the seaason your into, winter, summer etc.. obviously if its summer and its really hot in your house, youll adjust the temps accordingly..

my tanks are always at 30-31 degrees celcius.
and my cichla have never had disease.

keep the temp about 85 to 89...just to keep ich down....add extra air stones to move the water.

i tried for a long time to keep my tanks around 80 degrees.. and gave up. the peacock bass grow better and faster, and eat more, and are more active and healthier no matter which way you look at it when i keep the tanks over 86 degrees..
that is trial and error because someone who shall remain nameless said that the green area on the thermometers is warm enough (70 -80 degrees).
