i wanted to see if feeding my 15in aro a smwll mouse would be bad for him just to give hime some variety i feed him krill smely and massivore pellets should i give it a try??

i want to feed my aro a mouse too. but they are too small,10" i think your aro is big enough. Go and buy a small mouse and see if he eats it. make sure you don't feed him for 1 or 2 days. guarantee to be lunch. post a video too. Good luck bro

do not ovedro it. They're not geared for mammalian protein. Once a month is more than enough.

And feed it a pinky, to avoid the fur...( imo )

There has been much debate over this before. Some say it's fine because they'll eat mammals and insects in the wild by jumping out of the water to grab them from branches, but IMO, they're just trying to justify their morbid entertainment. And then there are those who believe that it's cruel, messy, and not part of their natural diet. The way I see it, in the wild, they will eat whatever they can to survive.

I don't like feeding feeders that cannot be finished off in once gulp. If you plan on feeding it a mouse, please pre-kill it or by frozen and feed it an appropriate size.

:iagree: and is it good for the fish ?? I just think its for the "cool" factor . Its fun enough for me to watch mine eat shrimp cuz hes such a pig about it

ewW Seems like it would be for another and not myself. ;)

No, you shouldn't give it a try. It's completely unnecessary and possibly brutal.

The diet you have mentioned is more than sufficient. There is not a need to branch out rodents.
