NeoBaron can you post pics of your volitans? Ive always wanted to keep

and doing bucket water changes. :)

My banded coral shrimp is the monster of my tank. Its killed and eaten two yellow tail damsels, a talboti damsel and numerous hermit crabs. It also picks up the snails and flips them over on thier shells and buries them in the sand. :swear:

I stayed up and watched it one night to see how it was catchig the fish. It sneaks up on them while they're asleep and just pinches the **** out of them.

I plan on putting a fuzzy dwarf lion in my tank when I have it finished up.

Those clown triggers are nice though, they just get a little to big for my puny 29 gallon.

!80g FO(Fish only)

Clown Trigger-6"

Porcupine puffer-5"(female-she expells eggs 2x a year)

Volitan lion- prob 7-8" long

Snowflake eel- 3'+ -one eyed
, lost it prob in a fight with a Mex dragon eel i had with it. The Mex was over 4' long, and holy hell when it was feeding time.

Queen Angel- 10-11" Just got her when i was just down the Fla. Keys, while diving.
(was diving with a collector ,and helped him out , and he let me take the Queen home) i helped him collect a bunch of other stuff, so i made him $$ anyway. Used to collect in the Keys, many years ago, to help stock the SW shop i used to have.

Biggest monster SW fish i had , was a Clown/Bumblebee grouper, way over a foot long, massive body. got it from a rest/tavern that had it in a 250 g tank, (was eating everything in the tank. ) when i first put the net in to grab it, it went in the net ez, then when i saw that it was in the net, shot right thru the net(plastic/nylon collecting net) with out bending my wrist. tore up a $30 net inna heartbeat.

Only tank i had was a 55g, w/nothing else in the tank. he had to bend in half to turn around. He popped a powerhead loose , and swallowed the bottom half of it, and i was able to yank the piece out, one day, prob 6 mo. later when he regurged it out(he wanted to re-swallow the dang thing)
ended up taking it to my prev partner at the shop, and he put it in a 1000 g tank.
he ended up selling it to a guy later that had a huge tank at home. last i heard was that it was 3' now,,,and can hand feed, and pet it when it comes up to you .

Would get a green moray, but hard to get less than 2' long,,,would have to get rid of the other fish in the 180, or start up a tank just for one,,,,
Ain't getting rid of the stuff i have now, most of the stuff i have in the 180 now, i've had over15 +yrs.

jesus, i can't imagine what kind of power is needed to tear a net through without even bending your wrist...

No kidding! i'd thought it got outa the net at first, then i looked at the net, and it tore it open ,,,i looked at my buddy that was there, and asked him , "Did it just blow thru my net"? he said "yup, i saw it. like it was nothin",,,,

Here's my SW Monster-in-training. This is a masked puffer that went a little overboard on the size of his black mask. 8" and not even halfway grown yet.

Cool Puffer!

My friend who owns a reef shop is trying to bring in some Blue Ringed Octopus. Not your typical sea monster but can easily kill you with their venom.

I originally put him in a black-backed tank (Yeah, I know. Don't say it.) It was cool seeing that bright yellow set of eyes moving around the tank.
