How do I boil pieces that are too big for any pot?
You could set them in a clean bath tub and pour boiled water over them.
Some people bake their wood but I don't know what temp or how long...sorry.
I like using the dishwasher on the sanitize cycle. Make sure you dont have any jet dry in there and don't use soap. Take the top tray out, if you need to make more room.

I need to use the bath tub but I dont think it is a great idea for me to be walking around with a pot of boiling water.

Just put the bthtub water on as hot as you can get it and scrub the piece of dw with a wirebrush, and repeat, you should be fine unless you got the wood from a local river, etc.

i used a plastic 55g drum, cut the lid off and used a fish fry cooker to boil the water b4 adding it. You can also use your python to carry hot water from the sink to the 55g drum.

Maybe I should ask you if you are trying to just clean all the cracks and crevices or are you trying to get all the tannins out?...

I just need to get it as sterile as possible, no bacteria.

I just need to get it as sterile as possible, no bacteria. Then you got to boil it...pouring boiling water on it ain't gonna do it...
Get a clean drum and build a fire...
I was going to say a pressure washer might help too...
