I did a little reading around and I found several articles and posts from DIYs saying they liked and recommended RTV 108 to seal aquariums. So I bought two tubes to reseal a 55 I recovered and they are listed "not for under water use".
Why? And can I get to resealing. :(

I never knew that, I know a number of people who have used it on their aquariums without any problems. Also I hear SCS1200 is good too.

im a manufacturer rep for a factory, every day i tell people not to do stuff i know works just fine, cause, if anything did ever happen i would not be sued, rest assured it will work just fine, ive also use ge II clear, cheap and great adhesion
let it cure for a week or two just to be sure
