Lets hear it folks, what is you favotite brackish hydrometer? (I currewntly don't own one, first timer) I need to convert from FW to BW and most of the hydrometers I've seen at the LFS START measuring at high end brackish or above. Since I am going to be acclimating from FW, I need the measurement to be very precise since this will take a while. :nilly:

Anyone have a favorite brand, recomendation, brand, model etc...? I am on a pretty tight budget so ballpark prices would really help, if you have them.

I used the Instant Ocean until I discovered how inaccurate Hygrometers were compared to Refractometers then I bought a Refractometer and haven't looked back since :) But in your case a Hygrometer will be fine I think I paid 20 bucks for mine at the LFS

Go with a cheap refractometer on ebay. Just bought one for 27 bucks and will never use a hydrometer again. They are incredibly easy to use and get a pretty acurate reading.

I used one of those Instant Ocean hydrometers too, pretty inexpensive and effective
