Its real wood all of it and none of it is sealed. the substrate is just really fine play sand from the local LBH. (a small home improvement kinda place)

I love 11. That lighting is sooooo cool. Is that just from using a smaller light strip? Can someone please explain how you get that effect?

Yeah smaller light. I just did the same thing on a tank I setup this week by putting a 24" light on a 48" tank. That tank had a huge influence on the one I just setup.
