havent heard a lot of good things with this skimmer
I would get a Bakpak or an octopus skimmer if I were you!!

Yeah skip the prism. Are you going to have any liverock? Even with a decent protein skimmer you'll still need some sort of biofiltration, such as liverock or a wet/dry.

i thought prizms were for nano tanks?

for $70 i doubt it
seaclone would be like $120 and that's still ****

yeah dont waste your money lol. If you want a decent skimmer and not spend a ton of money, then get either a Coralife skimmer or a AquaC remora, both are resonable in price and skim well in my experience.

skip the skimmer and get a filter if your that tight. skilters are probably in your ballpark too.

also why fish only? i have a 30 hex with 2 fish, live rock, and no filter(air stone only). are you planning on sand? no rock or sand is a pretty sterile tank. good for quarintine, but LOTS of marine fish graze of live rock. its really helpfull.

octopus HOB skimmers are good, Coralife Super Skimmer 220 for the 90g should be good too.

i have a 125 on my 120. Its less then id idealy want but for now its doing the trick. let me tell you, that thing on the lowest flow setting, skims like a cheese curd maker. very good skimmer for the money.

Thats ALOT of light for just fish and live rock!
You should have stuck with the bigger tank (eisier to keep levels stable)
And if you are gonna get a skimmer Dont spend so much!
Try this one

Yeah you don't need that much light for FOWLR...half of that would be plenty. A 40gal is a good starting point, I don't think its too small to maintain stability. I run the CSS65 on my 55 reef, its a decent skimmer for the money but its really finicky. I want to do the meshwheel on mine and maybe open up the venturi a little to see if I can get it working better.

tell ya what, buy the light and just do coral lol. the light would be fine but as mentioned before, to much for your fish. Also take a look at quality. Ive never heard of this brand before so im going to guess theres not much to say about it. I dont know, i might just be under a rock too, who knows lol.

heres what id do,

http://www.marinedepot.com/ps_ViewItem~category~36_inch_Current_USA_Nova_Extr eme_2x39_watt_T5_HO_10K_460nm_36in_Units~vendor~Cu rrent_USA~SearchStr~nove+extreme%2ct5+ho%2c460nm~a ction~view~idProduct~CU01125~idCategory~FILTFIT56U .html
They say its HO, but i dont know for sure. I have a similar unit and its regular t-5 I suppose it could be so im not ruling it out, but id go for a unit similar to that. Enough light for mushrooms if you wanted them and plenty for fish. Also the actinic will help make the color stand out on the fish more.
