So I was wondering if any has put any kind of driftwood in their salt tank? Should I or should I not?

Will it effect my ph?

Here are some great web sites that give info about adding drift wood to your aquarium whether its fresh or salt. Drift wood does lower PH.

Salt water will break down wood. This will not work.

The wood will lower ph and discolor you water a little bit, i dont reimend that you use it in a salt tank.

NO DRIFTWOOD!!!
Mangroves, but NO DRIFTWOOD. The salt will leach the tanins and other chemicals out of the wood... Its a salt tank, use liverock... no wood.
