They keep poping out babys, I have been checking for males every day to remove them. How young can they have babies? is it possible they are breeding before I can tell which ones are males?

i wish mine would breed. anyways, sorry i cant help much. i heard the only reproduce every 28 days or so. so you should have a chance to seperate them, but im new to the breeding thing.

Then you probabaly have two of the same gender, guppies always breed, I bet they would breed in a puddle. Either that or you're guppies hate you. You can get a breeding trap, which work great, if you get the timing right.

when guppys spawn the females hold the males sperm in them for awhile, its not unknown for a guppy female to have babys after months without a male present, hope this answers your question

so I am SOL. ahh I am getting sick of all these freaking fry, I swear if i come down stairs and see one more batch of babies I will loose it. I kepts these dang feeders since my fish didn't eat them, I figured maybe I can get one batch of fry and let my fish eat the fry. Now I have multiple batches.

Your fish don't eat fry!? Are you putting them in the 55. I keep guppies in all my tanks, m/f I never see any fry.;)

My fish will eat the fry, the fish they didn't eat where the orginal 8 feeder guppies. After the first batach I took out all the males, and feed the fry to the fish, then another batch came and another. I just want these origanl 8 to live the rest of thier lives and die without making any more babys.

The problem with feeding fry is they get sucked up by my power filters, or hide forever. The first time I feed my fish fry, they ate all of them or so I thought, a few weeks later i saw two young guppies hidding under my driftwood.

I am getting ready to put the tiger barbs in the guppy tank for a couple days, and hope my problem goes away.

If the female guppies mated once, they can spawn up to 6 months after the first time.

you would have to be blind not to be able to tell the difference between a female and a male guppy, even when there small you should be able to tell

Agreed I can tell on my fry even. I have put the females in my 55 until they are done poping out babies. Right now I have around 40 fry in the 10 gallon. when they get big enough ill give them to my LFS. Thanks for all your support peoples.
