how fast do surinamensis grow? like from 3-4" to about 9" .. anyone kept these guys with this experience? and what do you usually feed them pellets or frozen foods like shrimp and mussles?

In my experience Geo's tend to be slow growers - mix up the foods.

I've liked sinking foods best because you can watch the fish behave more naturally

Hi there kido, nice to be here in this forum. Yes they quite slow as far growth is concerned but its very much worth the time and effort. Yuo should not be discouraged by it.
