looks good have to :) at the third one down i've done that many times reflections of the pic taker plus the bystander best way around that is to darken the room and angle your camera slighty.

nice tank. i also agree a few more plants are needed. I have found that taking the picture with the flash on but every light off to the point you cant see what your shooting that it works really well.

Bleh, see, I have about 4 Java Ferns in there, and I know that they like to grow "out wide" so I am making sure they have room to grow naturally.. : )
But I might consider putting some more in there since everyone seems to agree that I should... Hmmm... :clap

If you want speed with the growth of the plants, have you considered a CO2 system...heres a couple links.. with the Yeast you dont really need the reactor in the tank, just put the air stone near the output... And if you know this already then good luck with your tank. It looks very impressive. How's his temperment, is he still skittish around people?

Thanks for the advice, I didn't know much about CO2, but I'm going to look into it. As far as his temperment goes, he's Bi-Polar, he can be very very.. peacful.. He doesn't run from you but, he also doesn't swim after your finger. I have 2 crayfish in there with him, which I was kinda suprised to see that after about 2 months, he hasn't messed with them one bit. I also was trying to feed him Feeder Cuppies at first, which he will NOT eat them at all, they have been in there a LONG time, and he won't go after them even after 2 - 3 days without feeding.. But once I put the goldfish in there... :clap Poor poor goldfish... O.o the guppies even have some fry swimming around in there... Hmmm..

Much thanks, and good luck with trying to get yourself an Elong setup, I recommend an Elongatus over Red Bellies.

nice set up man , i got the same tank, and canopy & cabnet, i evean got the fake log u got from wallmart.lol, i stained my wood with a redesh wood stain, cam out nice, had to use 3 coats tho, hes got pleanty of room, more than eneough, i have 12 baby red bellies in mine, what filter(s) are u using?
Haha another revival mr36st.
I had not actually seen this topic when i first joined and was trawling through old topics.
I recon a black background would look great on the tank, and nice to see an elong with all that room. Not like these comments count as the topic maker is inactive now i think :P
Nice tank but seems to me like a waste to raise one fish in that big tank when you could do much more.

What's the elong temperament? Is he finger chaser? Either way he looks good.:)
Almost always a finger chaser once settled. And a very active piranha species, I may be safe to say ‘the most active piranha species’ in fact.
