anyone know if i can get one of these and where?? i have checked and i cant find one i would love to own one!!!

I never seen them for sale. I heard that since they're not a colorful fish, that it wouldn't sale plus they get a lot larger than the ones they sale now. C. Lopis grows a foot longer.

i was thinking about getting an albino one now that i know they can live off nonlive food.
i think it would look sharp with a albino channel in an ALL black tank.

Agree, it's very beautiful to keep in a black tank!

I had a fat 10 incher once. In my 135 with sand substrate he would take mouthfuls of sand and move it to either end of my tank. He buried my large snails and killed them. Very aggressive. Terrorized everyone in the tank. Very cool fish though.
I have two albino Notopterus knives that resemble the albino shown, however for 30 bucks each i will continue to believe confidently that they are notopterus :). No point getting my hopes up :). Nice fish regardless of what species it is the albinos are very sharp looking..
