I noticed that too. Locations are Mew Mexico and Santa Fe, so I'm thinking relatives/roommates that are using the same computer, and forget to log on and off... Am I right?

ok i thought i explaind this, but maybe not. hes breeding them but he doesnt have the room to house the fry so im taking care of the fry and growing them out. so iv got the fry at my house and hes got the parents with about a couple hundren more fry on the way at his. and we are best friends and he lives up the block. so yeah if you didnt know this i see how confusing it could be with the both of us talking about them.

ya, thats pretty much how it goes :headbang2 and my new fry are already out of their drone stage, i think that im going to get rid of the convict dad and grow out the babies. this new batch of babies looks like there will be a lot more with more flowers than the last batch but we'll just have to wait till their a lil' bigger to make sure.

high nitrates + light left on too long = green water. do a couple 50% water changes with a day or two in between. then only leave your light on less than 6 hours a day. i had this problem before. i thought the fish needed the lights on. the lights are for you. they don't really need it. salt helps too. you can use aquarium or kosher salt at 1 tablespoon per 10 gallons of water. you can add as much as 1 teaspoon per gallon, but i do the former.

i don't have plants. each plant has different light requirements so you will need to find out how much they need. old bulbs also help single cell algae grow. i turn on my light when get home from work and shut it off when i go to bed. about 6 hours a day. the plants should use up some of the nitrate, so as long as you do weekly water changes and only keep the light on long enough for the plants, you should be able to stay ahead of the algae. low light plants would make it easier. some only need 6 to 8 hours of light.
