i cant find any info on fishbase.
and the aquarium wiki states them as the same fish as cuvieri.
and i can see why from the tail.

lucky me.
i got the last one from the lfs just.:naughty:
apparently, lucia is just a synonym for cuvieri.
meaning that it could turn out to be cuvieri.:naughty::naughty::naughty:
i think there are three species, cuvieri, xyrekes and lucius, which look pretty much like each other.
and cuvieri is the one with the spot at the base of the caudal fin.
which this gut that i bought has.
however,im not sure if this is the permanent color or if it will start changing later on.
i just have to grow it up i guess.

dont think its the water.
they arent very delicate and even my baby pbass are fine.
every other fish is fine and the tests showed that the water was fine.
and no,they dont have warranty. :irked:

i know they can.
maybe it was the stress from the shipping and moving and such.
pike characins are known to not sip well.
baby pbass are not hardy at all by any means.
and definitely not as hardy as a pike characin.

well too bad if you still want to think that way...
1 thing for sure they dun die easily if they dun eat for a few days.
You know why I say it is the water...cos it like you put in the new fish and it try to live
in the new tank water, and it try it best but still cant so die...or your Pbs bully it.

i know that it could be because it couldnt adapt to the water.
but thats why i acclimatise fish before adding them.
and the pbass couldnt have killed it because they were on another side of the divider.
