I just bought two baby Kigoma Frontosa today and one is the regular blue with dark black stripes, but the other has a lot lighter stripes - and it has a lot lighter body overall - does that mean that it is a female??

how big are they? Could just be subdom to the other. It is hard to sex when young... Venting only real way, or see them holding.

Color doesn't indicate what sex they are. You need to wait till they reach maturity then you can vent them.
Good looking Kigs BTW

When they are small like that color usually is just a indicator of whether dominant or not or also whether the fish is comfortable or nervous. You might be able to vent them to tell males from females when they are 5 - 6 inches in length. Nice looking little fronts though !
