Help with my Dogface Puffer

I recently purchaced a dogface puffer which has now been in the tank with three other puffers for almost a week with no problems. This morning the fish was puffed up to at least 3 times it's normal size. It stayed that size for about four hours. It now has been over 12 hours and the fish has still not expelled all of the water. Is this a normal thing or it is something I should be concerned about?

That's fairly normal for Arothron puffers. If you had bought all of your puffers together you would have had them adjusting to the new tank at the same time. However, since the tank already had puffers when you introduced the dogface, he now has to contend with territory-established tankmates and the stress of being in a new tank. He should be fine once he settles in (provided NONE of his inflation occurred above the waterline).
