I had one about 27" take in my whole hand once. Didnt bite just suck it in and spit it out. Must not have been hungry or else.

I've got a 20" african lungfish, everytime I put my hand in there to clean the tank, he doesn't seem to care how my fingers would taste!

maybe he's not yet in the mood for biting. :D seriously bro, don't be too confident about your lungfish behavior. just always keep an eye on him while cleaning your tank just in case he becomes aggressive.
Never been bit by a lungfish. Did get bit by an 18" freshwater moray eel (really a brackish fish) once. I was like  it HURT.

I've been bitten by my Dovii and by a Fahaka I used to own. The dovii bite drew blood but wasn't too bad. The fahaka bite, on the other hand, sucked. Lots.

Sorry to hear about the Biting. My lungfish is right at a foot and he has never bite me. I feed him fish meat and night crawlers straight from my hand. Very passive but does show a strong presence in the tank. You know, He is Darth LungFish!
