Thanks everyone for the compliments. He is about 9" long now and eats shrimp, freeze dried krill, shrimp pellets, hikari sinking carnivore pellets, and hbh soft and moist with krill. Not to mention anything that just passes by him like bloodworms and mysis shrimp. I will post pics as he keeps growing and whenever he descides to let me take a full body shot.

hows the activity level ? ;)

As far as feeding the shrimp and freeze dried krill I use a feeding stick or else he would never have a chance. But he actively goes after pellets as soon as he smells them in the water. He really isn't too active, generally stays on the right side of the tank in the front spending most of the time in his pvc home. He does get more active once he senses food in the water. He has no real issue with anything in my tank except my Midas when he is in his breeding frenzy when he and his mate want to lay eggs on the rock behind his cave. Even then it really isn't biting just pushes him out of the way and everything is fine.

Yes, started to take MPs. The only trouble is I have to drop the food infront of his face, or else he got difficulty in locating the foods.

Thanks everyone for all the compliments, I will have to try and get some updated pics posted. I did manage to measure him and in roughly four months he has gone from about 9" to pretty close to a foot and has also added some girth on to his body. These fish are pricey but if you have an opportunity to get one they are well worth it. He is allot more active than I expected and actively searchs for food once he get a the smell of it. The best accomplishment of all was getting him to eat pellets which I suppliment with shrimp and freeze dried krill.

I can tell you it is not a Synspillum, it was sold to me as a blackbelt when it was small. Unfortunately it is a male Blackbelt hybrid most likely, he has a nice blackbelt marking but no real male coloration.
