He looks awesome. :hearts:
The poor snakehead is just trying SO hard to wiggle out of his mouth.
How big of a tank is your greenie in?

That is a 3ft tank. hehe. I know its kinda small.
But I'm trying to see how I can get the 4ft tank repaired so that the arowana can go back in.
It got a leak somewhere.

Damn....
I'm sort of worried about my 7" delhezi in with my 12" green... I've seen the aro try to nip it before, but i didn't think they could eat a 7" fish.

It all depends on whether your arowana wants to work out the relationship properly. In other words, you won't know till you try.
If you take a look at the video again, you will notice that at the back of the tank near the submerged powerhead, there is a Channa pleuropthlama. This snakehead is only 7 inches and the arowana gave it a chance after trying to kill it.
But in this case, the 6" toman was not given a chance. I think I should pump up my remaining tomans to about 7" and see how things work out.
Well, my green doesn't tolerate tankmates that swim a lot. He doesn't mind tankmates that chill on the bottom like my bichirs, but he gave a 9" lima a weekly beating.
My green chases the 7" del when it goes up for air.

You only have the birchir and catfish in there with your green? Any other tankmates.
Sometimes, adding more tankmates will help.
No, i got rid of the lima, it got beat up really bad.
I have 6 bichirs in there. My green even sometimes trys to nip my ~12" endi.

I don't know whether to hoot or holler.
I like Aro's and all, but no snakehead deserves that kind of treatment. :swear:
Am I wrong? Anyone?
It's hard enough to get them now, and you use him as food? :screwy:

This world... Big fishes eats small fishes... I don't try to go against that. :woot:
Look at my location. I'm from Singapore. These snakeheads are cheap. I got one of them for 0.29 USD each. And i can fish them out of my reservoirs if I'm really broke. :grinyes:
Fish are Friends... NOT Food! LOL!

nice vid if you like that sort of thing :naughty:
the tank is way to small for that aro maybe if he had more space he wouldnt have killed the SH
even the 4ft you are trying to get fixed is way to small
dont bother getting the 4ft fixed get the aro a 6x2x2ft tank that he needs if you are thinking you want to keep the aro for another 6 months

hmm... most of us in singapore keeps our aro in 4X2X2 tanks... cos we live in apartments, and they don't freaking allow us to have bigger tanks. :swear: reds have to be kept in a min 6X2 tank though... i don't know how many gallons is that.
anyway, the greenie is now in a 4ft, at 17-18". 0 tankmates cos he killed them all the night he went into the tank. :WHOA: he killed my 12" RTC, all the silver dollars, and an endlicheri... all overnight...
staple diet of..... a large variety of feeders.... :woot:

i would say he is killing because the tank is to small how di you think you were going to be able to keep a RTC in a 4ft

the other aro in the same tank dimension was never like that. i commed the other one with datnoids, and birchirs. this is fish aggression... if you don't believe, head down to any singapore forum and you will see the same tank setup... by the hundreds...
i never wanted the RTC in my tank. i hate RTCs. it was a stopping point over night in my hosue to be shifted off the next day. but it didn't get a chance... :hypnotize

let me put this in v frank terms.
Everyone has their own way of thinking.
Now some feed their monsters with goldfish... what do you think the goldfish hobbyists feel?
I've heard of hobbyists here feed loaches to their fish but i see no one giving a crap about it.
just because its a channa everyone is up in arms about it. Its just on popularity... If that was a goldfish/loach/koi or any other feeder would anyone of you who just complained, complain about it?
Hence, kindly leave the threadstarter alone.

Why is everyone so angry? Snakeheads are used for feeders in SGP.
Goldfish lovers could be saying the same thing for us using goldfish as feeders.
I guess u guys haven't seen my Cichla Power video complete with full audio. :D................I fed a Jack Dempsey. OMG!

i can understand why ppl in SGP use Sh's for feeders. just think of them as bluegills in the US. they r common and cheap so hey, y not?

thanks for sharing,nice clip :)
I'am a fan of both arow's and snakehead's the video was a little disapointing no chase , no scene of the first bite etc.. anyway I don't see the problem with the choice of food , I also love convict's and I'am going to breed them for feeder's as well so why y'all buggin on the pimp man???? :grinno:
