yes they are matured now.... i kept 2 males and 5 females of the babies.. the other male is in a all male tank... this one is showing his colors for the girls... :)sorry the first pic was no good because of too much light.

i had a total of 60 so 8 left... that i plan on keeping not bad... may sell other male because someone wants him.. i don't need three males.. father and son is good...:D

aww i remember them being so tiny like it was yesterday! beautiful male-i love the third pic-hes lookin at the camera like "yeah, these are MY girls!"...
i think the male venustus is one of the most beautiful fish..

Nice. I actually haven't ever kept on of these yet. But every time I see yours I wonder if I should try on in my male tank.

of course you should..... :D:D these pics do not even come close to doing them justice.. this baby male is already 5 inches... his father is 9 inches.. this guy is going to be bigger...

And they are the king in a tank..i have never witnessed them being mean...or aggressive but i have seen them be the boss.... and have respect by all...:D

He was bullying my Protomelas Spilonotus "Liuli" and at that time I was trying to spawn them. You can see the male in the video darting away from the Venustus. As soon as the Venustus was out of the setup his colours and demeanour just changed and I got some good spawns from them.

oh yes ..if it is a breeding tank it makes a whole lot of difference... very nice assortment of beautiful fish, do you still have these others..?

Nope, the only Malawis I have at the moment is a group of Albino Labeotropheus red stripes. I have 22 young adults (5") and I hope they'll turn to be as spectacular as I expect them to :D
I've concentrated mostly on Tanganyikans soon after that; I managed to pair up a male and female Boulengerochromis Microlepis and pretty much I went a little wacko on the Tropheus :)

very nice collection too... i love the tangs also... i have some myself... few different kinds.. next i want to concentrate breeding my red fin kandangos... i have gorgeous male and three females... separated for the past year.. now all have grown mature.. lots of work ahead splitting up tanks.. winter project when it snowing....:D

Do you have any convict cichlids b/c mine have eggs jst about every 3 weeks and corner all the fish in the tank convicts are mean

im not sure why they died, but im guessing they had a beef with my flowerhorn or my frontosa , not sure
