After 689 entries and over 7,573 votes (yes, I did the math), it is now time for our first annual PHOTO OF THE YEAR CONTEST! Since my take over was midyear in May 07 we were not able to hold a POTY contest that year hence, all previous winners since my undertaking will be included in this contest.

The POTY contest will occur in two parts.
Part I - All previous winers will be entered in a poll from Dec 1 - 15.
Part II - Top 5 winners from Part I will be entered in a final vote off from Dec 15 - 31.

This will be the hardest vote ever! Thank you to everybody that ever voted and entered.

Be careful. It is possible to get a black background WITHOUT photoshop. It's easily done with cmera settings and lighting technique. :) I know, I do it all the time.

They are all Excellent pictures, so I decided to add personal, subjective criteria, too difficult otherwise.

Voted #1 because it seems to show personality. Lefty seems like “Scooby-Doo,” all enthusiasm and eagerness while his friend, “Righty” looks on with doubt, as though he’s been down that road before and did not have stellar results.
